Rabat Named Top African Destination for 2024 by Travel Experts

According to the ranking of a specialized website, a Moroccan city is among the 10 best places to visit in Africa in 2024.
Rabat ranks 8th behind Okavango Delta (Botswana) and ahead of Rwanda in the ranking of the 10 most beautiful places to visit in Africa in 2024, established by the Condé Nast Traveller website. The capital of Morocco owes this position to the new infrastructure that is changing its appearance. "Although Rabat is one of the four imperial cities of the country, it has long been neglected by travelers attracted by the timeless beauty of places like Marrakech, Fez and Tangier. This could change this year, as the city is undergoing a cultural and artistic reinvention. One of the most talked about attractions is the future Mohammed VI Tower, designed to be LEED Gold and HQE certified, and which should be the tallest and only one of its kind in Africa. But perhaps even more exciting is the new Grand Théâtre de Rabat, which will open nearby," comments Harriet Akinyi, a contributor to the site.
South Africa dominates the ranking of the best places to visit in Africa. Johannesburg and North KwaZulu-Natal take 2nd and 6th place respectively. Accra tops the top 10 while Madagascar climbs to 3rd place. Mauritius is positioned in 4th place. Mozambique follows. Okavango Delta, Botswana takes 7th place. As for Sierra Leone, it closes the podium.
