Rabat Ranks Among World’s Most Affordable Cities for Cost of Living

Rabat ranks in the top 12 of cities where living costs are lower worldwide. This is the result of the ranking of a specialized comparison site.
Rabat ranks 10th in the ranking of the 12 cities where living costs are lower worldwide, established by Numbeo, a site specializing in comparisons. It is followed by Santa Cruz de la Sierra (Bolivia). Bucharest (Romania) tops this ranking. Cape Town (South Africa) takes second place. It is followed by Cartagena (Colombia). Then come Chiang Mai (Thailand), George Town (Malaysia), Jaipur (India) and Lagos (Nigeria). Larissa (Greece) takes 8th place while Puebla (Mexico) is positioned in 9th place.
To establish its ranking, Numbeo took into account the average expenses submitted by the site’s users, including estimated monthly costs for a single person or a family of four, monthly rent and home purchase prices in the city centers mentioned, as well as average prices for a coffee, a meal for two and a gym membership.
