Marrakech Ranks 6th Globally for Affordable Restaurant Meals, Study Finds

Marrakech ranks sixth in the ranking of the 10 cities in the world where you can eat the best, established by the Spin Genie team. With $3.30, it is possible to afford an inexpensive meal in a restaurant in the ochre city. Chiang Mai, a city in Thailand, tops the ranking. Inexpensive meals costing only $1.46 can be found in the best restaurants like The Breakfast Club, a bakery in the heart of Chiang Mai, and Tong Tem Toh, a popular restaurant specializing in Northern Thai cuisine. Ho Chi Minh City ranks second. In this Vietnamese city, the best-known restaurants, The Rice Field, Michelin-starred, and Cyclo resto, offer inexpensive meals for $2.11.

Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, ranks third. An inexpensive meal costs an average of $2.53 in this lively city. It is possible to enjoy the country’s favorite dishes, such as pho and banh mi, without breaking the bank. The Chinese city of Chengdu ($2.78) ranks fourth. It is followed by the Thai city of Bangkok ($2.91). The Malaysian city of George Town ($3.30) is 6th ex-aequo. Then come the Indian city of New Delhi ($3.63) and Lima, the capital of Peru ($4.17).
