Marrakech Emerges as Top Destination for Wealthy Expats in Africa, Study Shows
Marrakech is among the three fastest growing cities for the rich in the Middle East and Africa region. This emerges from the 2023 ranking of a British firm.
According to the ranking of the London-based investment migration consultancy Henley & Partners, Dubai tops the top 3 fastest growing cities for the rich in the Middle East and Africa region. In 2022, more than 3,500 wealthy people settled in the city. Marrakech, in Morocco, and Kigali, in Rwanda, are the other fastest growing cities for the rich in the region.
Globally, New York retains its position as the world’s richest city with 340,000 millionaires. Dubai is in 21st place on this list. London is the only European city on the 2023 list. Tokyo, the San Francisco Bay Area, London and Singapore, and 97 cities from 9 regions of the world are also on this list.
