As Morocco is about to start the Africa Cup of Nations in a few days, a pillar of the team could miss its participation.
The captain of the Moroccan national football team, Romain Saiss, was injured just before the start of his team’s match against Al-Okhdoud, in the Saudi championship. Very bad news for Walid Regragui who could thus lose a very reassuring leader in defense.
Romain Saïss was therefore replaced by another player to spare him, according to the local press.
The extent of the injury and especially its duration are not yet known, as the Africa Cup of Nations in Côte d’Ivoire is due to begin around mid-January.
