24 Killed in Morocco Bus Crash on Way to Weekly Market

A tragic accident occurred on Sunday morning near Demnate, in the province of Azilal. 24 people lost their lives when the mixed transport vehicle, heading to the weekly market in Demnate, overturned in a curve.
The tragedy occurred on regional road No. 302 at the level of the Akhachane douar, under the Boulakhlaf commune, according to information gathered from local authorities.
Immediately after the alert, the local authorities, the services of the Royal Gendarmerie and the Civil Protection went to the scene.
An investigation has been opened by the justice system. Conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office, the investigation aims to determine the exact causes of this accident, one of the deadliest in recent years in Morocco.
