Deadly Crash on Moroccan Highway Kills 9, Injures 7 Near Khouribga

A terrible traffic accident has left nine dead and seven injured in Khouribga. The Royal Gendarmerie is conducting an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of this tragedy.
The accident occurred on the national road connecting the cities of Khouribga and Beni Mellal, at the level of Ouled Azouz. Sources close to the provincial authorities of Khouribga specify that the facts occurred around 7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. A mixed transport vehicle and two light cars collided. The toll is nine dead and seven injured.
Informed, the local authorities, as well as the services of the Royal Gendarmerie and the Civil Protection services, went to the scene to initiate the rescue operations. The same sources said that two of the injured in critical condition were urgently transferred to Casablanca, while five others are currently receiving treatment at the Khouribga hospital.
For now, the services of the Royal Gendarmerie are conducting an investigation to determine the exact circumstances of this tragic accident.
