Deadly Bus Crash in Morocco: 19 Killed, 20 Injured Near Khouribga

19 people were killed and 20 others were injured in a road accident near Khouribga on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. An investigation has been opened to determine the causes of this tragedy.
The accident occurred on national road 11, about fifteen kilometers from the city of Khouribga. A public transport bus with about forty people on board overturned in Boulanouar, on the road connecting Fqih Bensaleh to Khouribga. In total, 16 passengers were killed on the spot. Three others died later.
The local authorities and the royal gendarmerie dispatched to the scene supervised the rescue operations. About twenty injured, including 4 in serious condition, were transferred to the provincial hospital Hassan II of Khouribga, where they receive the necessary care.
An investigation is underway to determine the causes of this accident.
