Deadly Highway Crash in Northeast Morocco Claims 11 Lives, Injures 43

Another massacre on a Moroccan highway. Eleven people were killed and 43 others were injured in a road accident that occurred on Tuesday, near the city of Taza, in the northeast of the country.
According to local authorities, the vehicle overturned on a highway a few kilometers from Taza, without the reasons being known for the moment. An investigation has been opened to clarify the circumstances of the tragedy.
In recent months, many people have lost their lives on Moroccan roads. Last August, a terrible bus accident caused the death of 23 people and 36 others were seriously injured.
According to official figures, road accidents cause an average of nearly 3,500 deaths and 12,000 injuries each year, or an average of 10 deaths and 33 serious injuries per day.
