Deadly Collision on Marrakech-Agadir Highway Leaves 4 Dead, Dozens Injured

Four people were killed and nearly forty were injured in a road accident that occurred yesterday, Thursday, in the province of Amskroud.
According to local authorities, the tragedy took place on the highway connecting Marrakech and Agadir in a collision between a passenger transport bus and a truck. The toll is terrible: at least four dead and 39 injured, some of whom are in serious condition.
All the injured were taken to the Hassan II hospital in Agadir, according to the same sources, who report the mobilization of the royal gendarmerie and civil protection.
The accident would be due, according to witnesses on the spot, to the poor visibility caused by the fog. The bus would have hit the truck that was driving at low speed.
