Morocco Braces for Unseasonable Heat Wave with Temperatures Nearing 40°C

It will be very hot in some regions of the kingdom on this May 3rd day. The mercury should approach 40 degrees in the areas of the Oriental, the southeast and the provinces of the Souss, while temperatures will remain moderate on the coast.
The mercury will continue to rise on Monday, across most of the country, with an unprecedented heat wave, at least for the month of May, which will be accompanied by sandstorms over all the eastern and southern areas.
Moderate strong winds will blow from the south towards the provinces of the Oriental, the North and the South of the country, and other winds of variable intensity will hit the other parts of the kingdom.
However, this heat wave should spare the high plateaus of the Middle, the High Atlas and the Rif, where temperatures will range between 15 and 20 degrees. A cool wind will blow on the coast with temperatures ranging from 23 to 28 degrees.
