Morocco Braces for Heat Wave as Temperatures Soar to 37°C (98.6°F)

After a few days of thunderstorms and snowfall, the heat is back. The temperatures forecast for Monday, May 18 will range between 1 and 37 degrees.
The heat will be part of it this Monday, in several regions of Morocco, including the interior plains, the Souss, the Southeast and the South of the country. It will be accompanied by some low clouds, at night and in the morning on the North and Central coasts, with mist or fog in places.
In terms of temperatures, it will be between 1 and 6 degrees in the morning on the Atlas and the Rif, 6 and 11 degrees on the Oriental and the phosphate and Oulmès plateaus, 11 and 16 degrees on the Mediterranean, the Saiss, the North and Central plains and the Southeast slopes and 16 and 21 degrees on the Souss, the southern provinces and the far southeast.
In the afternoon, maximum temperatures of around 17 and 22 degrees will be recorded on the Atlas and the Rif, 22 and 27 degrees on the Oriental, the Mediterranean and the Atlantic coasts, 27 and 32 degrees on the Saiss, the North and Central plains, the Southeast slopes and the North of the southern provinces and 32 and 37 degrees on the Souss, the far south and southeast of the country.
