Morocco Braces for Thunderstorms and 42°C Heat Wave This Weekend

Heavy thunderstorms will hit several Moroccan provinces tomorrow, Saturday, September 11. On the temperature side, it will be hot in some provinces on Sunday, with the thermometer rising up to 42°C.
Heavy thunderstorms (20 to 30 mm) with an orange alert level will affect the provinces of Aousserd and Oued Ed-Dahab on Saturday from 3pm to 11pm, warns the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). On Sunday, temperatures ranging from 39 to 42°C will affect the provinces of Béni Mellal, Benslimane, Berrechid, Chichaoua, El Hajeb, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Fès, Fquih Ben Salah, Kénitra, Khemisset, Khénifra, Khouribga, Marrakech, Meknès, Moulay Yacoub, Nouaceur, Rehamna, Settat, Sidi Bennour, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Taounate, Taroudant and Youssoufia, the same source specifies.
The same day, temperatures ranging from 35 to 39°C are expected in the provinces of El Jadida, Essoauira, Mediouna, Ouezzane, Rabat, Safi, Salé and Skhirate-Temara, the same source also reports.
