Morocco Braces for Intense Heat Wave with Temperatures Soaring to 46°C (115°F)

Several Moroccan provinces will experience a heat wave from Friday, July 16 to Sunday, July 18, 2021, warns the General Directorate of Meteorology (DMN).
New heat wave in Morocco. Temperatures will range between 41 and 45 degrees on Friday, July 16, the DMN specifies in a special weather bulletin with an orange alert level.
This heat wave will affect several provinces of the kingdom: Beni Mellal, Chichaoua, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Essaouira, Fquih Ben Salah, Guelmim, Khemisset, Khenifra, Khouribga, Marrakech, Moulay Yacoub, Ouezzane, Rehamna, Settat, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Taounate and Youssoufia.
Temperatures will vary between 42 and 46°C in the provinces of Assa-Zag, Errachidia, Es-Semara, Taroudant, Tata and Zagora from Friday to Sunday, the same source further specifies.
