Morocco Braces for Extreme Heat Wave with Temperatures Set to Soar to 47°C

Morocco is preparing to face an intense heat wave, with scorching temperatures expected in several Moroccan regions.
According to the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM), which has just issued an orange alert bulletin, temperatures should fluctuate between 42 and 47°C from Tuesday to Friday.
The provinces of Béni Mellal, Fquih Ben Saleh, Guercif, Taounate, Taza, Settat and Khouribga will be particularly affected, with temperatures that could reach 46°C.
From Wednesday to Friday, the mercury will rise even further in the provinces of Marrakech, Rehamna, El Kelaa des Sraghna, Aousserd, Oued Ed-Dahab, Boujdour, Assa-Zag, Smara, Tata and Taroudant, where temperatures could reach 47°C.
