Morocco received, on Tuesday, July 13, a new batch of two million doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine. This will strengthen the vaccination campaign recently extended to Moroccans aged 35-39.

A Dreamliner from Royal Air Maroc (RAM) arriving from China landed around 11am on Tuesday at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, reports Hespress. The plane transported an additional 2,000,000 doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine. After landing, this batch of vaccines was transported by refrigerated trucks from the SNTL to the services of the Autonomous Refrigeration Regulator of Casablanca (RAFC).

With this new delivery, Morocco will accelerate its national vaccination campaign against the coronavirus. As of July 13, 10,713,551 people have received the first dose. The number of people who have received both doses is 9,409,395.
