Morocco Bolsters Military with $8.6 Million US Weapons Purchase, Including Missile Systems

Morocco has ordered a new batch of weapons from an American company supporting the US Department of Defense through rapid concept modeling, engineering, system integration, testing, manufacturing and depot support services.
The American company On-Point Defense Technologies won a unique purchase contract of $8,597,609 on August 15 to provide integrated main batteries, improved wire-guided, optically tracked and tube-launched missile launchers, and improved weapon control units, reports Defense daily. Delivery of these weapons is expected to take place on September 30, 2024. The army, federal civilian agencies, and Morocco and Ukraine are the customers. The type of credits is army production and foreign military sales funds for fiscal year 2023 to 2024, the same source specifies, adding that the contractual activity is the Defense Logistics Agency Aviation, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama (SPRRA2-23-C-0032).
