Morocco Bolsters Military Arsenal with US TOW Missiles Purchase

Morocco would have concluded an agreement with the United States for the purchase of TOW missiles, considered the most powerful of the US Armed Forces.
The US Department of Defense has announced the sale to Morocco of TOW missiles, used on Bradley vehicles. They are expected to be delivered to the Royal Armed Forces next year, with main batteries integrated into One Point Defence. Morocco is thus continuing the modernization of its army, after the purchase of American HIMARS missiles, the Barak defense system and the Israeli PULS rocket launcher, as well as Chinese, Turkish and Israeli drones.
The combination of TOW missiles and Bradley vehicles "would form an advanced ground force for the Moroccan army, which already has Abrams tanks, the pride of the American military industry," it is said, adding that this acquisition would reduce Morocco’s gap with Algeria in the competition for regional leadership.
These military agreements signed with the United States aim to consolidate the relations between the two countries, which have improved significantly since the Abraham Accords in 2020 which led to the normalization of relations between Morocco and Israel and the American recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over the Sahara. The United States appreciates this type of sale, reserved for "important international security partners," certain sources assure.
