US Defense Firm to Supply Morocco with $8.6M in TOW Missiles and Weapon Systems

An American company specializing in rapid concept modeling, engineering, system integration, testing, manufacturing and depot support services is expected to soon deliver a new batch of weapons to Morocco.
After winning a unique purchase contract of nearly $8.6 million, the American defense company On-Point Defense Technologies will deliver new weapons including integrated main batteries, TOW wire-guided missiles and improved weapon control units to Morocco before September 30, 2024, reports Defense daily. According to the explanations provided by the Far-Maroc forum, it is a contract with "a small company that does not produce the TOW, but offers TOW integration solutions on various vehicles." It specifies that the TOW is an anti-armor missile, and that it is among the most used in the mechanized and motorized units of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR).
The forum specialized in issues related to the Moroccan royal army also assumes that Morocco is in the process of acquiring the American "Bradley" infantry combat vehicles, which are not in the inventory of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) to support the Abrams tanks, through the Excess Defense Articles EDA program for the transfer of weapons from US stocks free of charge to its allies. And to nuance: "As the database of this program has not been updated for more than three years, we cannot therefore have any certainty or ’official’ confirmation of these conclusions."
