Morocco’s Bench Players Demand Playing Time from National Team Coach

At the next outing of the Atlas Lions, Vahid Halilhodzic will have to make sure to satisfy these players who are often called up but rarely called upon to prove themselves on the field. They have asked the coach for a chance to prove what they are capable of.
Some Moroccan players can no longer stand being on the bench. They are not satisfied with their status as substitutes and are very critical of the coach, whom they blame for poor management of the resources at his disposal, reports the daily Al Akhbar.
The newspaper specifies that on the list of disgruntled players, there is Abderrahman Haroui, a Sassuolo player. He had nurtured the hope of playing in his first call-up but Vahid Halilhodzic did not give him the chance. Soufiane Boufal, the Angers player who refused to celebrate the goal scored in the last match of the Lions, is also counted. He is disappointed with the little playing time he has been given in all the matches. According to sources cited by Al Akhbar, the two men held a meeting during which the differences were smoothed over.
Despite the discontent, the coach prefers to trust his starting 11, which according to him, manages to achieve the expected result.
