Morocco’s Baccalaureate Pass Rate Rises to 81.83%, Over 269,000 Students Graduate

The regular and make-up sessions of the national baccalaureate exam for the 2020-2021 school year resulted in a much better pass rate than last year. A total of 269,031 enrolled candidates from public and private education obtained the precious diploma, a pass rate of 81.83%, compared to 79.62% in 2020.
Despite numerous arrests for cheating, the candidates seem to have worked hard this year. Among the new graduates are candidates from the science and technology streams, whose pass rate was 79.45%, according to the Ministry of National Education in a press release.
As for the literature and original education streams, the pass rate is 87.81% among all candidates present, while it reaches 89.52% for the international baccalaureate and 74.9% for the vocational baccalaureate.
Regarding candidates with disabilities, the pass rate is 81.49%. As for free candidates, their pass rate is around 56.51%.
