Morocco’s 2021 Baccalaureate Exam: Over Half of Graduates Earn Honors, 68% Pass Rate

The normal 2021 session of the Moroccan baccalaureate exam recorded a success rate of 68.43% with 116,518 candidates having obtained honors, i.e. 52.72% of all graduates, the Ministry of National Education announced on Sunday.
Out of the 221,031 candidates from public and private schools who successfully passed the standardized national exam in June, 116,518 candidates obtained honors, i.e. 52.72% of all graduates. The success rate for girls is 55.54% of the total admitted candidates.
The scientific and technical branches recorded a success rate of 66.55% of the total candidates who took the exams, while for the literary and original education streams, this rate is 73.29%. The best average is 19.53, and was obtained in the branch of physical sciences, French section at the level of the Regional Academy of Education and Training of Marrakech-Safi.
As for the International Baccalaureate, the success rate is 78.35% while the professional baccalaureate records a percentage of 59.52% in terms of success. Regarding candidates with disabilities who benefited from the adaptation of exams and correction conditions, their success rate is 67.63%. For free candidates, it is 41.93%, knowing that the attendance rate of the latter reached 60.61%.
The makeup session, which will be attended by 92,581 regularly enrolled students and 56,813 free candidates, will be held from July 5 to 8. The results of this session are scheduled for July 11.
