Morocco’s Automotive Industry Boom Creates 116,000 Jobs, Surpassing Expectations

116,000 jobs, including 2,800 engineering positions, have been created by the automotive sector in Morocco, according to the Minister of Industry, Moulay Hafid Elalamy.
The leading exporter in Morocco, the automotive sector has created many jobs, rejoiced the Minister of Industry while specifying that the achievements have largely exceeded the ambitions.
"When confidence was established, we went back to negotiate with Renault, to let them know that we had not negotiated well before," he said.
Speaking at the opening of the "Global Industry 4.0" conference, held on the theme "Industry 4.0 as a new industrial model", Elalamy estimated that Renault Maroc is proof of the efficiency with which Morocco attracts foreign capital.
