Morocco’s Industrial Sector Adds 66,000 Jobs in First Half of Year, Minister Reports

66,000 jobs were created by the Moroccan industry in the first half of this year, said the Minister of Industry, Moulay Hafid Elalamy, during a meeting organized by the Moroccan Association of Exporters (ASMEX).
Held under the theme, "Determining taxation for the development of exports", this meeting of the Moroccan Association of Exporters (ASMEX) brought together many executives and experts from the industrial sector.
According to Maroc diplomatique, the government’s will remains to make efforts to give strength and quality to the national economy.
Also present at this meeting, the Minister of Economy, Finance and Public Administration Reform, Mohamed Benchaâboun, stressed the need to promote investment in order to boost the competitiveness of entrepreneurship.
According to the newspaper, he recalled that the State is putting in place a number of principles of good fiscal governance and the gradual abandonment of exemptions in order to encourage investment and direct aid.
The main provisions of the 2020 Finance Act give companies the opportunity to correct all past CIT, PIT and VAT declarations, in order to start on a new basis.
