Morocco’s Auto Sales Plummet 62% Amid Coronavirus Crisis

Almost all sectors of activity are being hit hard by the current health crisis. The passenger car sales market in Morocco has experienced a 62.9% drop, according to AIVAM statistics.
On the Moroccan market, 5,557 passenger vehicles were sold according to the report at the end of March 2020. Regarding the utility vehicle segment, 748 units were sold, a 49.01% decrease compared to March 2019.
Still according to AIVAM statistics, sales recorded across the entire automotive market are estimated at 6,305 units, a 61.66% drop. This decline is reflected in the performance of the first three months of the year compared to the same period in 2019.
