Morocco Attracts Global Auto Parts Makers as Yazaki Expands with Fourth Factory

The fourth factory of the automotive giant, Yazaki, is being built in Kenitra, Morocco, proof that the Kingdom is attracting more and more global equipment manufacturers who are doing good business there.
Global equipment manufacturers are developing an increasing and particular interest in Morocco. Present in the Kingdom since 2000, the Japanese Yazaki is one of the automotive giants who are writing the beautiful pages of the sector with Morocco. Its multiple projects that are growing crescendo speak for themselves.
The latest ambition of the Japanese equipment manufacturer is related to the construction of its fourth factory in Kenitra. According to L’économiste, it will have to accompany the ramp-up of the PSA plant which, like Renault, is definitively placing Morocco on the global map of the automotive industry.
In 2001, Yazaki had carried out its very first export operation. This automotive giant indeed has one of its largest operations in the world in Tangier. The Japanese equipment manufacturer is also one of the largest employers in the Kingdom with a workforce of over 11,000 people.
Yazaki’s performance has also prompted a parliamentary delegation from the Land of the Rising Sun to visit the Japanese equipment manufacturer’s work area in the city of the Strait.
