Japanese Auto Parts Giant Yazaki to Open Fourth Factory in Morocco

The Japanese multinational, Yazaki, will open a new factory in Kenitra. This will be in January 2020. This will bring the number of its facilities in Morocco to four. An investment of several million euros, which offers new prospects for the world of employment in the Kingdom.
Yazaki Group CEO Hiroshi Ichikawa explained, in an interview with the newspaper L’économiste, that the multinational has chosen to invest in Morocco to get closer to its clients in Spain since it was necessary to have a production base.
Also, according to his statements reported by the daily, Morocco presented itself with strong arguments such as the training and quality of the workforce but also political stability. "All this convinced us," he stressed during the interview.
Hiroshi Ichikawa, while admitting to having done good business on Moroccan soil, wished that "the incentives and benefits granted to the initial investment be extended to expansion projects." "We need government support. This is really an expectation of ours," he added.
Present in 46 countries, the Yazaki Group employs 13,000 people worldwide.
