Morocco Arrests Three Suspected ISIS Supporters in Anti-Terror Raid

An anti-terrorist operation carried out yesterday by Moroccan security services led to the arrest of three individuals accused of having pledged allegiance to the terrorist group Daesh.
These arrests took place in Tinghir and Errachidia, according to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), which states that the three individuals are between 26 and 28 years old.
In addition to wanting to prepare terrorist attacks in the kingdom, the accused were also involved in the propaganda of the terrorist organization and its extremist discourses, as well as in the recruitment and enrollment of new elements, the statement said.
The accused were placed in custody pending their appearance before the courts, the DGSN statement concluded.
Last month, the services of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ) had arrested 8 individuals suspected of preparing terrorist attacks in Morocco. These arrests had taken place in the Tangier region.
