Morocco Dismantles 8-Member ISIS-Linked Terror Cell Planning Major Attacks

A terrorist cell composed of several members was dismantled this morning by agents of the Central Bureau of Judicial Investigation (BCIJ). It was about to carry out major terrorist attacks in the kingdom.
Composed of 8 members, this cell was active in northern Morocco and more precisely in Tangier, the Ministry of the Interior said in a statement, specifying that one of the arrested individuals is "the brother of a fighter in the ranks of "Daesh" on the Syrian-Iraqi scene".
According to the initial findings of the investigation, "the members of this cell (20 to 31 years old), supporters of "Daesh", have adhered to the propaganda of this terrorist group and its extremist discourses, while trying to perpetrate major terrorist operations in the Kingdom".
All the accused have been taken into custody as part of the investigation and the investigations continue to arrest any possible accomplices of this terrorist cell.
The last anti-terrorist operation in Morocco dates back to April 23. The BCIJ had arrested 6 people in Salé suspected of belonging to a terrorist cell. Presented as "the leader of the group", Mohammed S., 22 years old, had pledged allegiance to the terrorist organization Daesh and was about to act.
