Morocco Arrests 4 Suspects in Deadly Forest Fire Near M’diq

Four individuals suspected of having started the fire in the "Kodiat Tifour" forest, in the province of M’diq, were arrested by the police.
These fires that occurred on Monday evening caused the death of three elements of the General Directorate of Civil Protection and seriously burned two others, according to a statement from the local authorities. This fire also ravaged nearly 90 hectares of forest cover, according to a preliminary assessment.
The arrest of the suspects came after the initial investigations, the same source specifies, adding that they were handed over to the judicial police for further investigation, under the supervision of the competent prosecutor’s office, before being brought before the courts.
