Morocco Announces World Cup Squad: Key Players Omitted from Final 26-Man Roster

Walid Regragui announced his list of 26 players who will take part in the World Cup in Qatar (November 20 to December 18). While Achraf Hakimi and Hakim Ziyech are included, Munir El Haddadi and the brothers Ryan and Samy Mmaee were not selected.
Exactly ten days before kick-off, the Moroccan players who will make the trip to Qatar are known. Among the big absentees are the strikers Munir El Haddadi and Ayoub El Kaabi, as well as the brothers Ryan and Samy Mmaee.
The national coach stressed that his choices were based on the injuries and poor form of certain players, like El Haddadi, assuring that "there is a list of reserves," without giving the names of the players concerned.
After this highly anticipated stage, Regragui and his players will head to Doha to prepare for their three matches in Group F: Croatia (November 23), Belgium (November 27) and Canada (December 1). A warm-up match is planned before that, on November 17, against Georgia.
