Morocco and Spain Vie to Host 2030 World Cup Final in Joint Bid

Morocco and Spain are each fighting to host the 2030 World Cup final that they are co-organizing with Portugal.
Who between Morocco and Spain will host the 2030 World Cup final? While we are still six years away from the 2030 World Cup, the organization of which has been awarded to Morocco, Spain and Portugal and will take place in these countries with the first three matches in South America (Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay), its final is whetting appetites. Rabat and Madrid want to host it. "There are variable positions in Morocco. Some believe that it would be better for the opening match to be played at the Grand Stade de Casablanca because, at least, we would be sure that the kingdom will participate, while for the final, it is impossible to know," summarizes journalist Nassim El Kerf for Jeune Afrique.

A close source to the file seems to have more details. "The opening in Casablanca, the final at the Santiago-Bernabéu stadium [the home of Real Madrid], this is in my opinion the most likely scenario," he explains. He will add: "The Moroccans are going to build a new arena, which may be the largest in the world, it is normal that they want to organize one of the key matches of the tournament there. But as relations with the Spaniards are very good, things will be settled between well-educated people. I can’t imagine the two parties opposing each other frontally on the issue." According to him, everything depends on the negotiations between the three countries: "The question of the distribution of matches, including the opening and the final, will result from political negotiations between the three countries, even if the federations will be associated with it".
Portugal is, however, excluded from this competition due to the lack of a stadium meeting FIFA’s capacity requirements. Only Morocco and Spain have better infrastructure to host the 2030 World Cup final.
