Morocco and Israel Explore Industrial Partnerships in Key Sectors

Moulay Hafid El Alamy, Moroccan Minister of Industry and Trade and the Israeli Minister of Economy, Amir Peretz, had a videoconference meeting on Monday, December 28, 2020.
During this meeting, the two officials discussed the prospects for bilateral collaboration in industry. "A set of sectors that provide important qualifications for the partnership has been identified. These are textiles, the agri-food industry, applied research in industry, green technologies and renewable energies," wrote the Moroccan minister on his Twitter account.
In a recent video message posted on his Twitter account, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that he and King Mohammed VI had agreed that an official Moroccan delegation would travel to Israel in the coming days. He had had a telephone conversation with the sovereign on December 25, just a few days after the normalization of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
