Moroccan Officials Visit Israel to Advance Diplomatic Normalization

An official Moroccan delegation is expected, on Monday, December 28, 2020, in Israel as part of the steps to normalize diplomatic relations between the two countries.
A high-level delegation from the Moroccan government is arriving in Israel on Monday to promote the agreement with Israel, reports the Israeli newspaper Hayom. This visit follows that of the American-Israeli delegation to Rabat last week. During this visit, Moroccan officials will look at several issues, including the reopening of the building used by the Moroccan mission in Tel Aviv, which has been closed since 2000.
In a video message posted on his Twitter account, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said it had been agreed that a Moroccan delegation would visit Israel during his historic telephone conversation with King Mohammed VI. According to him, several issues, including the opening of diplomatic mission offices and direct air traffic between the two countries, will be discussed during this visit.
"King Mohammed VI of Morocco is not wasting time and has ordered a delegation to Israel soon, which will include senior officials, experts and advisers on security and technology, economy, industry and trade and more. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Rabat has worked hard to put together the delegation, which is expected to arrive in Israel," said a senior official in Rabat.
