Authority Agent Brutally Attacked During Crackdown on Illegal Horse Rentals in Tangier

An authority agent with the rank of mokaddem was assaulted on the Tangier corniche during a field campaign to combat the occupation of the public domain and unauthorized activities.
The authority agent was attacked on Thursday evening last week by a group of people engaged in the illegal activity of renting horses, according to local sources. The mokaddem sustained injuries of varying severity. He was admitted to Mohammed V Hospital to receive the necessary care.
The security services are conducting an investigation to identify all the individuals involved in the incident. They assert their determination to arrest them and bring them to justice, in an effort to enforce the rule of law and protect the authority agents in the performance of their duties.
This assault occurred during a field campaign to combat the occupation of the public domain and unauthorized activities. This campaign follows information that the assailants have been operating for some time along the corniche, exploiting the public space for unauthorized activities.
