Morocco and France to Hold Joint Military Exercise in 2025

France and Morocco are preparing for the military exercise "Chergui 2025", scheduled for next September. These maneuvers are part of the fight against jihadist terrorism in the Sahel.
Representatives of the Moroccan and French armies have already held several meetings to prepare this military exercise which will take place on September 22, 2025, reports La Razón. The two parties have agreed to conduct these maneuvers in the training areas in Errachidia. Units from the army and air force of the two countries will participate in this exercise which aims to promote operational coordination and the exchange of experience between the French and Moroccan armies.
The maneuvers will take place in two phases. The first (CPX - Leadership and Simulation Exercise) will be conducted at the command center level. At this stage, participants will be entitled to simulations in order to improve their planning and decision-making skills. In the second phase, (LIVEX - Practical Exercises), they will be subjected to practical cases in a real environment, which will allow to assess their level of combat readiness and strengthen their coordination.
The "Chergui 2025" military exercise is part of the military cooperation between Morocco and France. Its objective is to strengthen the capabilities of the armed forces of the two countries as well as operational coordination in order to effectively respond to the security challenges of the region, in particular to fight against jihadist terrorism.
