Morocco and China Foreign Ministers Discuss Strengthening Strategic Partnership

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Residing Abroad, Mr. Nasser BOURITA, had a telephone interview on Thursday, October 22, 2020 with his counterpart from the People’s Republic of China, Mr. Wang YI. Among the topics discussed by the two officials, the strengthening of relations between China and Morocco.
The press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on the point of this interview between the two Ministers reveals that it is first of all about following up on the telephone interview that took place between King Mohammed VI, and Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, on August 31, 2020, reports the MAP.
The two heads of state had discussed the promotion of bilateral relations enhanced by the Joint Declaration on the Strategic Partnership, signed by the King and President Xi Jinping, during the Royal Visit to Beijing in May 2016. It was also a question of the operational cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the People’s Republic of China, in the framework of the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, specifies the same source.
