Morocco’s New PM Akhannouch Pledges Competent Cabinet as Coalition Takes Shape

The announced coalition between the RNI, the PAM and the Istiqlal for the formation of the government is taking shape. The prime minister has promised a team of competence to lead the change desired by the majority of Moroccans.
Speaking about the steps taken since his appointment to form the new government, Aziz Akhannouch indicated that "a more or less homogeneous tripartite coalition, which has the merit of ’respecting the popular will’ is taking shape.
In the meantime, the head of the prime minister’s office has reassured Moroccans that he will be surrounded by competencies that will continue the dynamics and progress that the kingdom is experiencing.
In addition, Akhannouch welcomed the materialization of this union of the three parties RNI, PAM and Istiqlal at the regional level. "The strategy of a regional alliance is a good find to pave the way for a future coalition cabinet," he said.
On the ground, the instructions have been scrupulously respected by the elected representatives of the three parties. Thanks to this "transversal and global" alliance, the political trio was able to sweep the board in the regional, local and municipal councils.
