Morocco Aims to Attract 500,000 Expats, Including 10,000 Skilled Professionals, by 2030

Nezha El Ouafi, Minister Delegate in charge of Moroccans Residing Abroad (MREs), is working to detect Moroccan skills residing abroad. Her department has just developed a national program.
Speaking before the House of Councillors, Nezha El Ouafi said that her department has developed a national program to detect Moroccan skills residing abroad (MREs). Morocco wants to attract 500,000 MREs, including 10,000 skills, by 2030.
Responding to a central question on "the mobilization of specialized skills among Moroccans of the world" in the House of Councillors, Ms. El Ouafi specified that some 17% of MREs have received high-level training and hold higher education degrees.
