Morocco Adjusts School Hours for Ramadan, Delaying Start Times

In a note sent to the directors of the regional academies, the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports has defined the schedules that will be in effect in schools throughout the Ramadan month.
According to the ministry’s note, during this fasting month, the morning entry time in primary schools will be postponed by 30 minutes and the exit time will be brought forward by 30 minutes. However, these hours may be subject to changes in rural areas.
Regarding the secondary and qualifying cycles, classes will start from Monday to Thursday at 8:40 am and end at 12:00 pm for the morning session, then from 12:30 pm to 3:50 pm for the afternoon session.
As for the classes taught on Fridays, they will start at 8:30 am and end at 11:50 am in the morning, then resume at 1:40 pm until 5:00 pm.
