Morocco Adjusts School Schedules for Ramadan, Ministry Announces

The Moroccan Ministry of National Education informed the directors of the regional academies on Wednesday of the different schedules applicable, during the month of Ramadan, in primary, middle and vocational secondary schools.
The circular revealed to the directors of the regional academies shows that primary schools will start the morning classes 30 minutes later than usual and will therefore end 30 minutes later. The note specifies, however, that modifications may be made in rural areas, taking into account the specificities of schooling.
At the middle and vocational secondary levels, from Monday to Thursday, classes will start in the morning at 8:40 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., then from 12:30 p.m. to 3:50 p.m. for the afternoon session. On Friday, the morning classes will last from 8:30 a.m. to 11:50 a.m. and those in the afternoon, from 1:40 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
