Morocco Accelerates Highway Expansion During Low Traffic Period

Autoroutes du Maroc (ADM) is taking advantage of the confinement period, where traffic is fluid, to accelerate the construction and maintenance of highway infrastructure.
This involves the widening of the lanes of the Casablanca-Berrechid and Casablanca bypass highways. The railway bridge of the Casablanca-Berrechid highway will also be restored. On this site, "ADM has taken advantage of the drop in traffic to be able to carry out the very complex transport of the metal elements of one of the two bridges, the work on which is 90% completed." The same applies to the maintenance work on the Rabat-Kenitra axis.
According to the same source, the fluidity of traffic has made it possible to "schedule the work at the Dar As-Sikkah interchange to minimize the disturbance at this very busy node under normal circumstances. This period also coincides with the maintenance of the Meknes-Fez axis".
