Moroccan YouTuber and Husband Remain in Custody, Children Placed in Care Amid Indecency Charges

The court of first instance in Témara decided to postpone the trial of Youtuber Fatiha and her husband, prosecuted for indecent assault, to October 19. It also rejected the request for provisional release filed by the defense of the two defendants.
Youtuber Fatiha and her husband remain in detention. Becoming famous through videos posted on YouTube called "Daily Routine" (Routini al Yaoumi), Fatiha was arrested, along with her husband, on October 7 by the Témara police brigade. They are being prosecuted for "public indecency, bad example for children and incitement to commit offenses."
During the hearing last Wednesday, the court ordered the placement of the couple’s children (3 children aged 4, 12 and 15) in a charitable institution, due to the extended detention of their parents.
The case of the Moroccan Youtuber dates back to last week. While despite the controversy, she was able to broadcast her videos for many months, Fatiha was strongly criticized after the publication of a video described by Internet users as "disgusting", "shameful", "in bad taste", "deeply repugnant" and contrary to morals.
