Moroccan Women-Led Craft Companies Win Awards at Prestigious New York Trade Show

Eight Moroccan companies specializing in crafts participated in the New York Now Show held from August 14 to 17 at the Javits Center in New York. Created and led by women, the know-how of these companies was awarded at this prestigious event in the world of crafts, which brings together producers, brands, buyers and designers from about forty countries twice a year.
The eight companies that participated in this show were all selected by the Maison de l’Artisan according to the criteria and standards of the American market. These eight representatives of the Moroccan craft sector at this show owe their participation to the efforts and various support methods deployed by the Ministry of Tourism and the Maison de l’Artisan to make Moroccan products known on international markets.
The Moroccan pavilion at this show experienced a real enthusiasm and interest from professional buyers, prescribers, designers, and others. And rightly so, since five of the eight Moroccan companies were finalists in their respective categories. They were selected from among 2,500 brands and manufacturers present, and three of them won the first prizes. These are Chabi chic, Milsouls and Dounia Home, which received the award for best product of the Show. The New York Now Show is the main market where one can find gifts, home decor, accessories and design objects for the home.
