Morocco Unveils 14 New Agreements to Boost Tourism and Craft Sectors

Several conventions were signed on Tuesday in Rabat between the Ministry of Tourism, Crafts, the House of Crafts and institutional and professional partners. They will breathe new life into all these sectors.
The objective behind these signatures is to launch a new "more comprehensive" contractual framework in the field of crafts and tourism, according to the Minister of Tourism, Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, Fatim-Zahra Ammor.
These conventions come "to respond to the many aspirations and objectives of the different segments of the sector, such as individual craftsmen, craft companies and entrepreneurs, unions, cooperatives, in order to support them at the level of the entire value chain". All this is part of the implementation of the content of the sector development strategy, she stressed.
These agreements signed in Rabat take into account production, marketing, training, support for digitalization, integration of production units into the structured economic fabric. The ministry expects the Chambers and the Federation of Craft Enterprises to develop an annual work program for better efficiency of these agreements, especially since the sector is trying to recover from the harmful effects of the Covid-19 crisis.
