Moroccan Woman’s Surgery Uncovers International Cocaine Smuggling Operation

A young Moroccan woman was operated on last Sunday, following atrocious abdominal pains. The surgeons had to extract 20 cocaine capsules from her body, which she had swallowed, after Eid al-Fitr, with the intention of going to Spain.
According to the preliminary investigation conducted by the Anti-Drug Unit of Kenitra, the woman, whose state of health deteriorated after the operation, is a regular traveler to Spain where she has permanent residence.
According to "Assabah", the investigation does not rule out the possibility of her involvement in fraudulent activities, within an international drug trafficking network.
Pending being heard by the judicial police services of Kenitra, the accused is still hospitalized in the intensive care unit of the clinic. The cocaine capsules were seized and sent to the Scientific and Technical Laboratory of the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), in Rabat.
