Moroccan Authorities Seize 11 kg of Cocaine at Tanger Med Port, Two Arrested

Elements of the National Security of the Port of Tanger-Med, in coordination with the Royal Gendarmerie, thwarted, on Sunday, September 29, an operation to traffic 11 kg and 350 grams of cocaine. The goods were hidden in an international transport truck.
The search operations carried out immediately after the arrival, by sea, of this truck from Spain, made it possible to seize this quantity of cocaine.
It was carefully hidden inside specially designed cavities in the roof of the trailer, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), in a press release.
According to the same source, the Moroccan who was driving the truck and his assistant were arrested during the operation.
For now, the two suspects have been taken into custody. An investigation is underway to determine any national and international ramifications of this criminal act.
