Spanish Police Bust International Cocaine Ring Led by Moroccan, Seize 700 Kilos

The Spanish police dismantled on Sunday a drug trafficking network in the north of the country. The operation led to the arrest of 13 people of Moroccan, Spanish, Bulgarian and Dutch nationality and the seizure of 700 kilos of cocaine and around 300,000 euros.
The Central Narcotics Brigade and the High Court of Justice carried out this operation which resulted in the dismantling of this international drug trafficking network based in Madrid and led, according to the investigations, by a Moroccan. In total, two shipments of 120 and 300 kilos of cocaine and 230,000 euros in cash were seized by the police.
The investigation revealed that the organization had sufficient means and infrastructure to carry out its activities: apartments, cars, storage warehouses, etc. For the moment, everything suggests that the organization was about to receive a shipment of hashish and cocaine from the Galician coast, an area known to be favorable for drug trafficking.
