Moroccan Woman Suffocates in Suitcase During Illegal Border Crossing Attempt to Spain

The lifeless body of a 28-year-old Moroccan woman was found last Friday in a suitcase inside a car embarked at Tanger Med bound for the port of Algeciras.
The victim thought she had found the ideal hiding place to illegally reach Spain. But unfortunately for F.O, originally from Tinghir, the journey in a suitcase placed on a ferry would prove fatal. The suitcase was inside a vehicle registered in Spain, belonging to her brother, the one named M.O, aged 34, naturalized Spanish.
According to port sources, this attempt at illegal immigration was an idea hatched by the brother who wanted his sister to join him in Spain, but things went wrong. The young woman’s body was discovered before the boat arrived at the port of Algeciras.
