Moroccan Woman Flees Domestic Violence, Seeks Refuge in French Hospital; Husband Arrested

A Moroccan woman who says she is a victim of domestic violence had to flee her husband’s home to take refuge in a hospital in Toul. The violent husband was arrested and will appear on a prior admission of guilt in January 2022.

A difficult married life. A Moroccan woman and a Toulois met on Facebook and never left each other. They had gone to Morocco where they got married. They moved in together in December 2020. The police take care of the victim. She will later be welcomed at the Jacques-Cordier shelter. The first domestic violence caused her one day of ITT, that of May 3 three days.

Arrested then placed in police custody on May 5, the defendant partially acknowledged the facts he is accused of. He said the weapon he used to threaten his partner is a family inheritance. He is now being prosecuted for domestic violence causing ITT of less than or equal to 8 days and illegal possession of weapons and will likely appear on a prior admission of guilt in January 2022.
